It seems Christmas is also bringing peace and love in the analytics industry as Flurry and Pinch Media have announced to be merging in order to create a new analytics force for mobile game developers.
With the merger, a battle for marketshare by the two companies will finally be concluded and the new entity can cover up to 80% of the iPhone OS and Android markets. The new entity will continue under the Flurry name.
“We’ve already decided that the basic infrastructure going forward will be Flurry’s. We were beginning to rewrite much of our system using Hadoop and HBase, to improve our scalability and update speeds. Flurry’s already done this
