In an interview with Develop Magazine, Brian Greenstone (CEO Pangea Software) explains why the choice of GPU for Apple’s iPad might be a mistake from the vendor.
As Brian explains, the GPU has been developed for mobile phones, not devices which such a big resolution. As a result, graphics are not as advances as they could have been on a platform with such a fast CPU.
“That means it’s a little bit fill rate limited, if you’ve got a lot of overlapping 3D models and fog or a complex environment like a lot of games, it brings the iPad to its knees” Brian said.
Congratulations
