OpenFeint has announced that 300 developers now support both OpenFeint and Apple’s GameCenter in their apps and games. Openfeint’s userbase doubled since the introduction of GameCenter support.
This week alone, OpenFeint added 14.000 new users. In total, the company’s tools are included in 2.100 iOS games.
“We used Game Center and OpenFeint’s social features to push Galaxy on Fire 2 to the top of the Top Grossing charts in iTunes in less than 2 weeks,” said Michael Schade, CEO of Fishlabs. “OpenFeint also provides special features that keep hardcore gamers engaged. Using their network save card option our players play Galaxy on Fire 2 on multiple devices without losing progress.”
“We’re experiencing incredible growth on iOS and Android. Since Game Center launched, we’ve added over 4 million players every month. Even more amazing, our players have activated OpenFeint in over 125 million game downloads during the last 7 months,” says Jason Citron, CEO of OpenFeint.
