Telefonica Users Get Limited Free Access to EA Games

April 18th, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Distribution | No Comments »

Telefonica/O2 has partnered with EA Mobile to provide its subscribers access to EA’s portfolio of mobile games including the new FIFA 12 and Monopoly franchises. There is a catch though… access is limited to three months after download.

The promo will start off in the UK on Telefonica-owned operator O2. Following their download, consumers will be provided with a gamign subscription service. Probably powered by Flexion as EA is already a client with them. Which platforms are supported is unclear. Android seems logical. J2me highly likely.

This deal follows the new distribution deal EA struck with Nazara.
