BlueStacks is a new tech startup that has developed virtualisation software to run Android OS in a Windows environment. The company managed to bring in $7.6 million in investments.
The company hopes to make money by selling their virtualization tools to Windows PC builders and, more importantly, Windows tablet builders. The first deal is already in their pocket as the Android environment will be pre-installed on ViewSonic’s ViewPad 10 Pro.
BlueStacks is not the only company trying to get consumers to use a mobile OS on their Windows machines. Earlier, HP announced it will soon start with PC’s that have an option to run WebOS and HTC once build a tablet/netbook combo called the Shift. That machine ran both Windows Vista and Windows Mobile 5.1.
Congratulations
