Strong industry rumors are flying all around about the expected end of Disney’s efforts in mobile gaming. Of course, we have taken the time to try and dig up all information we could get about it.
According to the rumors, a big part of the German crew has already left (or where fired) the company to work elsewhere. In Czech, part of the workforce is also leaving the studios. They have not created any real new titles and where only provided with porting work which is leading to huge gaps in the company’s roadmap.
We contacted Disney about these rumors and a spokesman said the following: “We are managing our business within the current economic climate and making business decisions accordingly. The result was a refining of our product strategy, managing costs in uncertain economic times, and making organizational changes as part of our normal course of business within our mobile games publishing.”
