€18 Million Available for App Development

March 26th, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: J2me, Platforms: Symbian, Platforms: Windows Phone | No Comments »

Nokia and Microsoft have put together a new fund that will assist developers in getting their work onto Nokia phones including Series 40, Symbian and Windows Phone. The new fund is called AppCampus.

The news comes only days after Rovio said it is working closely with Nokia on a Windows Phone release of their new Angry Birds Space app. The AppCampus is hosted at the Finnish Aalto University. The fund should lead to new and fresh self-supporting mobile start-ups.
