Palm Adds Video Previews to App Catalog

March 3rd, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: PalmOS | No Comments »

Palm-one Shortly after the release of their new SDK, Palm announced a nice upgrade to their App Catalog. While submitting or updating a new application or game, developers can now include a YouTube Video.

Through the video, consumers can get a better feeling of the product they are about to purchase through App Catalog. The availability of a YouTube video will be visible through the YouTube thumbnail that will be added to the game’s page.

When adding a video to your game or application, you have to make sure the video is in-line with Palm’s Application Content Criteria. Since it is a meta update, it will be evaluated before it is visible to the consumer.
