Recent research shows that companies who adopt social media see a revenue increase of 18%. This is enough reason for Pixalon Studios to go social by adopting Twitter.
The use of Twitter is a great extension on the RSS feed that was already offered by the studio. Consumers, press and professionals can now get in contact by sending direct messages and mentions toward the studio.
The information provides over the Twitter feed is not limited to that of the RSS feed (news and editorials). Via Twitter, the company also announces new video uploads on YouTube as well as screenshots posted on their Flickr account. To top it off, the company will occasionally make small announcements exclusively via Twitter.
Amongst those announcements are two brand new projects that are in development. One is SimFrancisco (not a SimCity clone) and the other is Neon (Sci-Fi Puzzle). The presence of those games on the website was first exposed via Twitter earlier today.
