Google’s highly anticipated Android platform seems to be taking a leap into the sales charts as T-Mobile announced to have 1.5 million pre-orders for the new G1 smartphone from HTC.
These 1.5 million pre-orders originate from the US branch of the operator who will launch the device on Oktober 22nd.. The European public is a lot less lucky as they will probably have to wait until 2009 before they will be able to get their hands on it.
The operating system is already getting a lot of traction amongst developers. Several big publishers have even committed to provide several mobile games free of charge.
