When China Unicom announced to start selling the iPhone in China, we already reported that the number of devices in the first batch was very low for that market. Reports are now coming in that the iPhone is even less popular than expected.
The numbers are so dramatic that the operator reported to have sold only 5.000 units in the launch weekend. There are various reasons why the iPhone is failing to appeal. Unlike the imported versions, they lack support for Wi-Fi. Also, the price tag is still sky high for the local population and higher than the imported versions.
Congratulations
