Kyocera Opens Dual Screen Android Developer Program

March 23rd, 2011 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

The Kyocera Echo is the first Kyocera Android phone to support two screens. As development for such a device asks some additional knowledge and experience, Kyocera opened a portal to help developers out.

The Echo might be the first of it’s kind, but if successful, many more are likely to follow and not only from Kyocera. For developers that might sound good, but still there is that all important ‘if’. The Echo ships with Android 2.2 but is likely to receive upgrades to 2.3 somewhere soon.
